So, I originally created this blog to provide access to those that care to this things going on in my life while I was away at sea. As you well know, I failed at that miserably. I didn't realize until I got on the ship last year that we would have extremely limited internet access. So my plans failed miserably. On a positive note, I now have a left-over internet diary here to write all of my meaningless nonsense down for the entirety of the webbing world to see. In case anyone was wondering, my trip was awesome. I have pics, great pics. The kind of pics that you look at and say, "was I really in those places?" Maybe someday I will put them into a photo album. Speaking of albums, my fiance gave me the most amazing gift when I got home, he had kept every email that we wrote back and forth to each other and put them into a binder for me to keep. Thank God he did. Those are the kinds of things I say I would like to do, but never really get around to it. Now I have a host of keepsake emails and letters for my children and grandchildren to one day find hidden away in our attic, letters that are entirely inappropriate for children to read and will no doubt creep them out...those are the best.
I searched down my sixth grade teacher on the internet today. I know that sounds creepy, but it was only so I could reconnect with her and tell her about the impact that she had on my life. Anyway, I found her email, I think. I only hope I didn't just write to some random stranger.
